I just want everyone to know that I combed the Auction House for weeks looking for Ethereum Prison Keys, for reference & accuracy. And they didn’t help at all.
So we came up with something new for the prison spheres, something that would make sense with their role in ethereal society, and with where we encounter them in Blade’s Edge and Netherstorm. And of course, something that may seem a little familiar. 😉
This marks the end of Chapter Two! Vid’s on vacation right about now, so we’ll be taking a week or two off, but we’ll be back soon. Thanks for reading and commenting so far, see you in Chapter Three!
*sporfle*
That look towards the fourth wall…
Nice 4th wall break!
Seems “familiar”?
…

…
I got nothin’.
Hahaha those faces
Enjoy the break! 🙂
Haha, that 4th wall look… XD
Still, the concept does fit well with Ethereal technology.
I think I’ve read an SF story or two that uses similar concepts. I distinctly remember one where a law enforcement used something like that to transport criminals.
Okay, we have the sphere (Pokéball), which is unlocked with a pointy, weapon-like key (kunai), and the Reboot Fourth-Wall Stare, made famous by Bob, Dot Matrix and her brother Enzo.
Pretty much! Though for us, I’ll at least add that the keys are more like crystal shards/chunks than actual weapons! (Given their single panel appearance, I can get why this isn’t clear. Maybe we’ll fill one of our no-strip weeks with an explanation of some of the FDWL tech/devices seen so far!)
A thought just occurred to me. Mages can cast illusions, and they can enchant stuff.
Maybe the reason those flimsy paper masks always fool people is because they are enchanted with a glamour. When you put it on, you actually do look like a member of the race whose mask you wear.
Or maybe not. It’s pretty funny to see people get fooled by a paper mask every time and Blizzard is the kind of company that definitely could go for the silly option. 😛
I wanna BEE the very best…
(combined this weeks strip and next weeks strip for this joke yw)
