What an expensive bit of therapy. The engineer in me is crying.
Hope everyone is enjoying Warlords so far! I know both Vid and I are LOVING all the new lore, familiar faces, and overall storyline. And GARRISONS! Oh my god, the garrisons. What more needs to be said. Now if you’ll excuse me, I think it’s almost time to send my followers out on today’s missions.
Ow… oh man… oh the poor chopper. /mourn
I am LOVING Warlords! It’s been a long time since I’ve done every quest in every zone just because I had to find out what happened next. I trip over stuff I recognize from Outland and giggle gleefully – though I confess I’m still trying to wrap my head around the geography. =)
As someone who’s been fairly critical of the writers in the past, I’ll eat crow and admit that Blizzard really hasn’t done better in terms of story or presentation than this expansion. The Classic/BC/Wrath worshippers can bemoan the lost community, but that isn’t something Blizzard can restore.
I do like the cameos from old expansions, although some of them don’t really make much sense. Given the militaristic battle the Blasted Lands was supposed to be, it just seems weird for people like Tommy Joe Stonefield or Milly Osworth (or even Fiona, for that matter, even though I like her) to stroll on through the portal to find jobs in Draenor. The recently-wed Firebeard couple at the stables made more sense.
I did have to play damsel in distress to Thrall in Nagrand, but if that is the extent of having to deal with the Aspect of Derp, I can get over that.
I already want to punch Khadgar in the face — and that was just in SMV! :p
I feel odd being a shaman on Draenor, considering the “father” of Draeni shaman in our home dimension/timeline is Akama who is still a priest here.
That isn’t half of what I’ve tripped over. A Taunka as a Flight Master in Nagrand, Nestingway Safari (that’s a given), and various Horde NCPs showing up at the tavern in my Garrison setup, like Johnny Awesome, Lillian Voss, even Lunk!
Inn, not Tavern, sorry.
