Seriously, does no one else at the Faire raise an eyebrow at the fact that each month, Kerri Hicks is collecting thousands of bloody ears? I mean, the icon is an ear, and Blizzard has a tendency to encourage ear-collecting, ever since Diablo. What the heck is she DOING with all of these bloody trophies??
It seems such a disproportionate reward, too – you bring back proof of 250(!) kills and you get 10 little tickets. You could play a handful of carnival games, or you could go out and kill HUNDREDS OF CREATURES.

I’m sure there’s a quest where you have to collect the skulls of living creatures. I’m eating my lunch now so I am trying very hard to not imagine the process involved there.
Maybe she’s related to the Peloi, and she’s getting gold coins for every ear she hands in to her king/employer without ever sharing the profit with you 😀

I’ve skipped this quest for the past 2 months, I should probably do it again (was doing V’day stuff for pink flamingo and didn’t bother)…
I never stopped to ask what she’s doing with the ears though…and honestly? I don’t want to know….

eh, that’s one I keep on my log and do throughout the intervening time, which means I only get credit for it half the time but really? Unless I have time to be out hammering dailies during the festival, the only time I’ve gotten them all within the week was when I was farming spiders to gather leather to make PVP mail gear for my daughter. It’s weird to be collecting trophies – but not unusual in Azeroth. I figured they went along with gnome stew, y’no? (seriously, cata “delicacies” are something totally else…)
Reminds me of the fun days, when you dropped an ear in Diablo, and people ran away from you, screaming.. or well. not really screaming but.. You get my point 😛
