If there was ONE THING that could bring these eternal rivals/enemies together…
I mean, I’m not even one of these classes and even I appreciate the FREEDOM they must be feeling! Free to summon their mana buns and fel candy any time they please! No longer shackled to the fickle whims of their groupmates, begging, PLEADING for them to please, just please COME OVER HERE AND CLICK ALREADY.
And of course, no longer prone to the excruciating frustration of attempting to summon a mage table – for other people’s benefit – only to have some oaf walk up and start summoning, but then wander away, cancelling the spell BUT still triggering the 10-minute cooldown.
I swear, I never saw people ready to reach through their monitors and strangle their guildmates so much as when this happened.
In addition to being solo casts and reagent-free, arcane mages can use Presence of Mind to INSTANTLY summon a refreshment table! Which is OBVIOUSLY the best use for this talent. I mean seriously, could there be anything MORE amazing than, every 90 seconds, being able to just stop in your tracks and BLAM, summon a magical buffet of delicious baked goods? I think not.

Someone could trigger the cooldown by wandering off?! WHAT. No wonder mages were so reluctant to make tables!!!
It drove me SO CRAZY. I can’t even tell you, haha.
Hang on, if PoM makes it instant cast, couldn’t you summon tables WHILE ON THE RUN :O Or perhaps in MID AIR :O

I managed to encourage people to click on the portals with little /say messages like “Click for Cookies,” or “Click for Cake” but even then you could watch everyone assume that other people would help out.
And then I would be on cooldown after channeling for the full minute and healers would start grumbling at the rude mages who can’t be arsed to put down a table, and I just *headdesk*
Right?! OH MY GOSH. I am so happy to be free of the vagaries of peoples’ whims. I summon tables when I darn well please! The other day during raid I was trying to make a table pattern. The 1 minute cooldown prevents most interesting table art, unfortunately. 😉

Also, wtb this no-click functionality for summoning stones. Just turn the Ritual of Summoning into Have Group Will Travel, please. The thing has been here since Vanilla and yet I swear the Gul’dan nobody outside a warlock knows that they too can click the summoning stone.
I never was much of a vendingmachine.
Mostly i would start the ritual and if no one moved and clicked within 20 sec i would cancel the cast and the rest of the ins it would be all “No soup for you!”
I will kinda miss being able to just say “You didnt react in time.”
But then agein im the jerk that miss being the only one with a rez in the group full of lazy people who cant run after a wipe.
Or the old summoningstones that no one would travel to and i would refuse to click on since they made me wait 20 min by the stone.
I think i will miss being that jerk. 😛

You guys are forgetting the most important thing: forget Presence of Mind – Ice Floes allows you to cast the table in mid-air. Fly up high, dismount, Slow Fall, Table. Then, tell your friends to go find it. Have fun.
