I always find it funny when our plot details are actually accurate/based off the real characters. For example, Rades the WoW toon really IS an honorary member of the Consortium, having reached Exalted status with them way, way back (I think I wanted the tabard? or maybe one of their engineering schematics). On the other hand, Vid never did the rep grind for them, and we’ll see this reflected later on in the comic.
We realize no one in the world except us would recognize these little facts, but it’s fun to write the FDWL script while still staying true to “canon”, so to speak.
Haha ‘At least it’s not sigils this time’! XD
Quite funny to see a questline handled this way. It’s actually very similar, just prefaced with a lot more talking/buildup.
I guess that’s why books and comics makes for better storytelling mediums than games, especially MMO’s.
Blizzard does a pretty good job within the limits they have in WoW though.
And no Wrathion in Outland yet… Aw.
I would definitely like quest more if I were the one giving input!
Sounds good to me, except for one part that I don’t understand.
What do you mean by “capture” again?
Not everything can be solved by slaughter! (Most. But not all.)
You cant say slaughter without laughter! 😀
Just out of curiosity, is Millya going to be showing up anytime soon?
I’ll have to double-check with Vid about this, but I think Millya actually doesn’t really fit into the same timeline as Vid & Rades. If you look back at our strips they’re never together! So at this point, probably not, but maybe later?
Consortium are still languishing at Friendly for me ;~;
Looking forward to the adventure!
mmmmm. I’m kind of a faction/reputation junkie, so I’d have noticed that one. It is cool to see the story progress as it would in game-reality with those things in play. And you inspired me to go finish off Consortium. I’d gotten halfway through Revered before being interrupted. I could almost feel sorry for those poor poor ogres. 😉
