It’s the scene from the Chapter Title page, oooooh! Sharp-eyed readers may notice something telling on that page now, too. But what does it mean?? Time will tell.
One of the most interesting things about writing FDWL is discussing scenes, and realizing how the events in the comic are letting us establish little character traits about Vid & Rades. We had a good laugh when realizing what type of person Vid (the character) is when she’s on watch. What does she do when she hears a strange noise in the middle of the night? She doesn’t wake up Rades for backup, no – she grabs her mace and immediately charges headlong into battle.
Why would a Draenei ever need a puny Orc to deal with any kind of danger? Silly Rades.
Hrrrm…normal feet. Not hooves of any sort (or trolls)…
In that second panel Vid is absolutely gorgeous (very nice job portraying her), not that she isn’t gorgeous all the time!

Oh, Vid, Vid! If Rades were awake, he’d tell you that a Sporebat is TEH BEST PET. I bet those footprints are a Hunter in Camouflage…
Is FDWL going to need to go on hiatus for a bit due to the shoulder RSI Vid mentioned in this week’s WRUP at WoW Insider? If so, do take all the time you need to recover & heal properly and completely!
