Starting to get underway! The impact of Garrosh’s actions in the Vale. Major events are about to be set in motion.
Apologies for the disarray of the site design right now. We updated the WordPress version and it broke everything, just like it ALWAYS DOES (seriously, it actually breaks every time we update) but thankfully the damage doesn’t seem TOO severe this time. Hopefully it shouldn’t be too long before we get everything back to how it should be.
Maybe we’ll even get some kind of -gasp- ARCHIVE system up and running this time! MADNESS!!
That was my thoughts exactly when I saw the damage the war between the Horde and Alliance had wrought on the Vale.
Not to be that guy, but the Alliance had nothing to do with this. This is all Garrosh.
True Garrosh caused the destruction in the Vale but this is also the end result of the Alliance and Horde going at it hammer and tongs everywhere else on Azeroth and bringing that war to Pandaria.
I know the folks at Blizzard wrote things the way they transpired but I don’t understand why we as the Alliance didn’t put a stop to the defiling of the Vale 30 seconds after the goblins turned their first spade of dirt in the Vale.
Well, keep in mind the war was only brought to Pandaria because the Horde chased Prince Anduin’s ship there. And with the exception of the Southern Barrens, I believe the Horde has been on the attack everywhere else in Azeroth (Alliance hasn’t ever been the aggressors, at least).
I do wonder why the Alliance or even we as the players couldn’t say “Hey, uh, there’s something fishy going on with this artifact in the Vale, maybe we should make sure Garrosh doesn’t get it?” Blizzard’s railroading – but again, the Alliance didn’t start that.
if king rage face had made peace with thrall back in the under-city instead of being a racist douche nozzle we could have avoided all this.
Not saying Varian is perfect or was even right at that point in time – but look at it from his perspective. He’s effectively TRIED to make peace. What does it get him? The Forsaken make a plague to kill everyone and the Horde is apparently perfectly fine with this.
From his point of view, if the Horde was worth preserving, Thrall never would have let the undead build up a plague like that — there were signs of it EVERYWHERE as well.
you make a good point haven’t seen much of recent varian (i switched to horde in woltok and never looked back) but to be fair to the forsaken there work on the plague is understandable there greatest hero betrays and enslaves them and when they finally break free there only allies declare them abominations with no rights and send an army of psychotic paladins to wipe them out and take there homes thats why i love the forsaken out of all black and white other the races they have a whole lot of gray
Remember, Varian deliberately and explicitly decided not to investigate the Sha as a source of power, judging it too dangerous. He passed the test; Garrosh failed it.
I feel like that was a concise and fitting summary of recent events!
This comic makes me want to play WoW again, it’s great!
