And what shoulder, & what art.
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
– The Tyger, William Blake
This just in: Sha really are incredibly weird, gross and ugly little buggers, when you stop and look at them closely.
They sure do match our color scheme though! 😉
Yes, yes they are. Very fitting of the term abberation.
The small ones even more than the big ones.
Also, really nice page. Draw both the broken statue and the little sha really well.
Thanks! It always makes me happy when someone appreciates the work we put into FDWL. 😀
And yet, I still named my Gooey Sha-ling “Fluffy”… 😉
Fluffy, haha. Best name.
1. Drawing a Sha in a comic that’s primarily black & white has a pretty interesting look…since I know they are already that color, they pop out quite a lot. It’s intense.
2. I love that poem.
A wild Gooey Shaling appeared!
Very chiaroscuro!
Or even stracciatella gelato!
STOP DO NOT EAT THE SHA
nom nom nom OOPS
Though now I want a companion pet just so I can name it that.
…”weird, gross and ugly”…
This … mightn’t be a reference to this, might it? If so, do I win a No-Prize for getting it? 🙂

Sorry to disappoint, but definitely not a reference to that channel. Completely unfamiliar with it! 🙂
It is cute, as are most things on Animalist. Her approach to “weird, gross and beautiful” animals makes me think of my own pet-collection obsession on WoW… ^_^
I’ve actually named my wolvar and oracle pets “Kekek” and “Roo”…
