I wonder just how many Mogu we’ve taken out in our time here? All these Mogu-slaying dailies HAVE to be taking a toll on their population. Hell, I’ve slaughtered a few thousand alone.
Kill Mogu for Valor, kill Mogu for reputation, kill Mogu because they’re in the way while doing Archaeology…name a reason, and we’ve probably killed a Mogu for it.
Even Taran Zhu would probably have to admit that it’s all a little staggering, when you stop and think about it.

The numbers surely jump up if you do that final Golden Lotus quest.
You forgot ‘kill 100 mogu,’ everyone’s favorite step of hitting Exalted with Golden Lotus. ;D
Funny aside, I think it’s important to note that the Mogu don’t seem to really die when we kill them. Their spirits, or whatever, can pick up other stone bodies and the like when we kill them. So I see this chamber somewhere that we haven’t found yet where the ghosts of Mogu come and jump into another stone statue and BAM, they’re back on the ground. I think we’ve been killing the same ones for weeks now!
The Mogu are just trying to reclaim the territory that the Pandaren stole from them! And we are butchering them!
well considering their emperor was a tyrant that enslaved all the races and the fact that they’re trying to do so again….

I keep feeling like there’s a reference to some movie or play or something that I’m not getting in the way this comic is set up. Is there, or am I just making things up?
While it isn’t reflected in the regular game, I could at least appreciate the solo scenario on the Isle of Thunder Alliance side (think it was the second one) in which it pans over the space where all the statues are, and all that’s left are a field of broken off feet.
Oh, yes the genocide we commit for nominal amounts of gold or reputations. As a proud achievement whore with more than 60 reputations at exalted and a title proclaiming me insane I’m quite familiar with this thought.
Almost as bad as killing hundreds of Nagrand ogres for their necklaces. With a drop rate of about 1 in 4, thousands of Ogres died for me to get Exalted with Kurenai. *hack slash squelch” ” hmm you don’t wear a necklace, onto the next victim”.
Likewise the Naga for the sporelings “They’re like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals. I HATE THEM!”
I must add though that this was during my fury warrior days, I wouldn’t do such a thing now I am a peace loving resto druid *cough* *kicks pile of winterfall furbolg under the rug*
