First despair, now pride! Eek! “[The devil] always sends errors into the world in pairs–pairs of opposites. And he always encourages us to spend a lot of time thinking which is the worse. You see why, of course? He relies on your extra dislike of the one error to draw you gradually into the opposite one.” –C.S. Lewis I hope she can make it out of this conundrum…
I hadn’t thought about it this way, but after dealing with an array of Internet Trolls recently, the sha are kind of like those, basically trying to get a nasty response out of their victims to feed on. Hmmm. Interesting.
A little maybe, but I think the Sha just made its first mistake. Because Vidyala has experienced with her parents and Rades, I think she has pride, but doesn’t let it rule her. “It is good, until it is bad.” I think the Sha will try to push Vidyala’s pride over from good to bad and fail. Quite possibly with Rades and/or Four giving a helping hand. 🙂
Seriously. I can’t be the only one who read that last panel and heard “dun dun dunnn” in my head.
