That first panel, with the reflections on the sphere, is brilliant! I love the variety of facial expressions in this one!
It’s old man McGillis from the abandoned theme park!
I quite like the use of the prison as a panel. Nice little detail.
Also, I think Wrathion is more… advanced let’s say, in age (though not necessarily maturity), even compared to other whelps at that age.
The titan purification device that merged him with the whelp corpse seems to have done more than excised the Old God taint.
Will Baron Sabalion be a problem?
Wrathion may want to catch up on the recent history of the Black Dragonflight in Outland before he insults someone partnered with a netherdrake or something.
Though Wrathion and A’dal should get along – they’re both trying to get an Army of Light concept off the ground to actually point a bunch of marauding loot-happy adventurers at the Burning Legion.
Three’s Company? Could it be… Jack Tripper? Does this mean the Tavern in the Mists is the Regal Beagle? Am I proving how incredibly old I am because I remember the name of that place? O.o
Actually, one thing which does drive me nuts (but I know, it’s the way the game works) is that when in Outland, everything is basically… set before the end of the Burning Crusade. (Ditto Northrend and Lich King.) This makes me worry a bit that in Orgrimmar, Garrosh will still be there enthroned from now on (I really, really hope not!) despite his defeat in Siege in Orgrimmar. Quite curious about how the “back in time” aspect of Warlords of Draenor will affect–or (probably, I assume) not affect–Outland as Outland, as in theory one could go do a few dailies in Outland and then pop back to Old Draenor, and Lord knows how causality will or won’t be involved. (Perhaps it just spins off a new universe in which Krypton didn’t explode, er, I mean, Draenor didn’t become Outland?)
That’s exactly what happens. non-splodey draenor is a separate world from outland, nothing there does anything to the timeline, except to create a new enemy to stomp in the present day alone.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if those Outland orphans who have great destinies prophesied for them somehow can be NPCs in Warlords of Draenor?
(It would involve time travel, of course, but since that’s already been sort of involved with them with the visit to the Caverns of Time, hmmm…)
(And perhaps we could see an adult/teen Salandria joining the Tauren Chieftains.)
(I love those orphans. I’ve named my Wolvar and Oracle pets Kekek and Roo, imagining that two of my characters adopted them in the end.)
AAAAAA I have a SUSPICION OF WHO
For some reason i can not shake off the image of Leeroy Jenkins coming down the stairs.
With him around black whelps cant lose.
